The House
A house built over time.
The Paradigm Story
It started with a different way of thinking.
Paradigm Foods was founded in Brisbane in 2018 with a straightforward ambition: to challenge the way the Australian meat industry typically operated. Not to be bigger. Not to produce more. But to be more fluid - more nimble in how we moved through the supply chain, and more deliberate about the quality at every point within it.
In 2018, there was no grand plan to build a house of brands. The business was more modest than that. What existed was a conviction that the industry's conventional approach - volume-led, margin-driven, built on standardised supply - left something on the table. That the best Australian Wagyu deserved a different kind of custodian.
Over the years that followed, the business grew into its own shape. Relationships with farming partners deepened. Brands were built from the ground up, each one distinct, each one the result of a different obsession with a different expression of what Wagyu could be. What started as a leaner, more agile way of working gradually became something with a name: the House of Wagyu.
The name fits because a house, unlike a factory or a trading operation, is built over time. It accumulates character. It holds things that matter. And it defends the standards that define it - every day, at every level.
Behind Paradigm Foods sits more than fifty years of agricultural experience, built under the Agtrade banner. That foundation - the relationships, the market knowledge, the understanding of what integrity looks like at every point in the chain - is what made the House of Wagyu possible.

Our Love of Wagyu
We curate. It is a different discipline entirely.
Most of the industry is built around scale. There is nothing wrong with that - scale feeds the world, and the Australian beef industry does it extraordinarily well. What we do is different in purpose, not in criticism.
Paradigm Foods operates across the supply chain by hand-selecting the best of every part of it. We are not vertically integrated. We do not own farms or processing facilities. What we own is the relationships, the standards, and the brands. We work with a closed network of farming partners who have been chosen for the quality of their land, the rigour of their programs, and a shared commitment to an outcome that most of the market does not demand at this level.
We have hand-selected the best feedlots and processing facilities in the country, and built a team whose sole focus is the integrity of what carries our name. Every animal that enters our programs is personally reviewed. Not by algorithm. Not by category. By people who understand the difference and refuse to accept anything less.
Every animal that carries one of our brand names has been chosen. Not sourced from an open market. Not selected from a catalogue. Chosen - through long-standing relationships with producers who understand that what they grow carries a name, and that the name means something.
We believe that Wagyu - like a well-made wine, like a carefully sourced single origin - earns its position not through price alone, but through the story it carries from the land to the table. Building that story, honestly and with consistency, is what we do.
"We are not in the business of moving product. We are in the business of building brands from Australia's finest Wagyu - and getting it on the best tables in the world."
Our Obsession
Wagyu is our world
Obsession lives in the livestock and genetics side of our brands. The bloodlines. The marbling advancement. The long-standing breeding decisions. These are what enable the brand distinctions.
Genetics aren't just an input. They're the foundation of our identity.
Every animal carries decades of deliberate breeding decisions. Not opinions. Data. Precision. The same exacting standard applied to genetics that a chef brings to their kitchen, instilled in our Wagyu generations before each animal was even born, then applied through its entire life.
We trace every animal from farm to the boning room. We measure every data point, from growth to marbling scores. This is how obsession becomes consistency. This is how bloodlines become brands.
Animal welfare and marbling development are not competing priorities. They're the same decision. Stress inhibits both. The patience, consistency, and care that create calm cattle also create superior outcomes. Every choice serves the animal and the product simultaneously. The temperament of our cattle is not a handling convenience - it's a genuine production trait, measurable in the final product.
This is precision at every stage. This is why each brand tastes like something more.
Our Reach
The world is our table.
The House of Wagyu is distributed across more than thirty countries. Our brands are present in Michelin-starred kitchens, luxury hotel groups, and fine dining institutions from Tokyo to London, New York to Dubai.
We do not seek mass distribution. We work with partners who understand the product - buyers and operators who know that what they are placing on their menus or in their portfolios carries a standard, and who value that consistency above all else.
Our model is built on relationships, not transactions. The same approach we apply to farming partners, we apply to distribution. Selective, long-term, and built on a shared understanding of what the brands represent.
